SOUND MIXING
American Zoetrope offers several options for sound mixing. Mixes for smaller home viewing projects like DVD commentaries and documentary soundtracks are produced in our San Francisco Sentinel studio. Soundtracks for feature films are handled in our Rutherford re-recording stage where legendary and Academy Award ® winning work continues to be produced.
San Francisco: the Sentinel Mix is an editing, design and 5.1 mixing room driven by a ProControl board, recording to ProTools and working with video picture sources. A wide array of digital and analog outboard gear and recorders are available to deliver desired results.
Rutherford [Napa Valley]: Zoetrope's re-recording stage is located in a vineyard setting at the Niebaum-Coppola Estate Winery. The stage is configured with an Otari 54F board, as well as ProControl options. Digital and analog dubbers and recorders, digital audio workstations, and a wide complement of outboard equipment supports the work. High speed film projection and digital video picture sources are both options.
Full client services including Estate housing and catering options make a Napa mix a truly unique experience. Both staff and free-lance mixing talent can be matched to your project's demands.
Recently completed mix projects include 'Lost in Translation' and 'The Legend of Suriyothai.'
